Greetings from The Taconic Opera Company, based in Peekskill, NY.  (http://www.taconicopera.org) .

Earlier this year, we reached out to you to invite all interested singers to join us for our Brahms Requiem concert this past October.  We had several wonderful singers join us for that concert and it was a great success.  We're back to reach out to you again to invite all interested singers to join us for our next two productions:  A Concert of Opera Choruses on March 15, 2008, and our full production of Otello, June 21 & 22, 2008. 

 

We ask that you kindly circulate this notice to your members.  We welcome this opportunity to continue to get to know our choral neighbors in the Westchester and surrounding areas.

 

Note to Choristers:

We will be rehearsing for the Opera Choruses concert and Otello concurrently, starting up on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 3:00pm.  After that we'll rehearse on Wednesdays, 7:00pm and Saturdays, 3:00pm.

We realize that many of your groups may already have Wed. as your rehearsal evening, we will welcome singers even if they can only come to Saturday rehearsals.

 

Rehearsal location is Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Route 134, Yorktown, NY.  (Yorktown/Ossining border).  We will be using the Schirmer Edition of Otello score, which singers will need to obtain on their own.  We will be providing music for the Opera Choruses, and asking for $10 per singer to cover music costs.
