Standing 13″ tall, this striking Phoenix (Steuben catalog #8136) is etched “Steuben” on its bottom. It was introduced in 1965. Steuben is an American fine glass and crystal brand, founded in 1903, whose brand and current production is under ownership of the Corning Museum of Glass. New glass animals from the Corning museum generally range in price from a few hundred dollars (for 3″ works) to $2500. Said one online Steuben dealer contacted: “The Phoenix does come up for sale occasionally and when it does it sells in the $250 to $400 range.” No original packaging.
